01 DOI SUTHEP TEMPLE (HALF DAY AM./PM.)
WAT PHRATHAT DOI SUTHEP Is the most sacred temple
in Chiangmai containing a holyrelic of the lord buddha a panoramic
view of city can be seen from here at 3,500 feet above sea level. |

02 HOME INDUSTRIES (HALF DAY AM./PM.)
Visit the famous Umbrella village, the
colourful paper And silk parasol makers of Borsrang. See Thai silk
& Cotton being woven on handlooms by the pretty girl of Sankampaeng.
Also see Lacquerware, Teakwood carving and Silverware making.

03 ELEPHANTS AT WORK (MORNING ONLY)
Visit a jungle area north of the city to see elephant
at work. The program includes a demonstration of how trained elephants
are used to help in logging work. Stops are made at the beautiful
orchid farm. |

04 ELEPHANT SAFARI AND RAFT (FULL DAY)
Enjoy seeing how the trained elephants are used
and then take an elephant ride through the jungle for 1 hour. View
the beauty of the countryside along the Mae Ping river by Raft. Lunch
will be provided. After lunch, visit the remote and primitive "Lisu
hilltribes". A stop is also made at the orchid farm on the way
back. |

05 THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE WITH LUNCH
(FULL DAY) PRIVATE CAR
Leave Chiangmai in the early morning for Chiangrai
by car visit "Yao" and "Akha" hilltribes. Drive
through Chiangsaen. (The old city) and stop for lunch at chiangsaen.
After lunch continue to the Golden Triangle and Mae Sai Border. Drive
back to Chiangmai.
If the time is available a Hot spring is also visited. |

06 DOI INTHANOND NATIONAL PARK WITH LUNCH (FULL DAY)
Visit Doi Inthanond the highest peak in Thailand
at 8,514 feet above sea level. The whole area is now a National
Park with much wonderful scenery including waterfalls. Visit "Meo"
village as well as the interesting "Wat Phrathad Chom Thong". |

07 CITY&TEMPLES (HALF DAY AM./PM.)
Visit "Wat Chiang Mun" AD 1297, the oldest
temple within the city walls. Drive through many different parts of
the northern capital, passing residential areas, notable foreign Establishments,
handsome government building. Drive through "Ta-Phae", the
main street and shopping center, and on to three other splendid temples
"wat Chedi Luang" (AD1411) where the Emerald Buddha was
once enshrined "Wat Phra Singh"(AD1345) where a 1,500 years
old Buddha image and fine carvings are to be found and "Wat Suan
Dok"(AD1371) where the ashes of Chiangmai's Royal family are
entered. Proceed to "Wat Ched Yod" with its seven spires
and unusual architecture commonation year 200 of the Buddhist era. |

08 LAMPOON-LAMPANG WITH LUNCH (FULL DAY)
Leave Chiangmai for Lampoon. Visit "Wat Phrathad
Haripoonchai" Continue to
the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre in Lampang. Enjoy seeing how
elephant are being trained to use in the Forest industry. Lunch will
be provided at a restaurant.
In the afternoon visit "Wat Sri Rong Muang" the Burmese
Style temple. And
"Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao" also visited. Before leave Lampang
for Chiangmai a horse carriage riding will bring you around the city
of Lampang. Arrive in Chiangmai in
the evening. |
